replacement engine

   hello i need to replace the engine in my 1998 1.1 sx saxo after it blew on the motorway. my problem is, i need to know how to identify the specific engine model in order to get a suitable replacement unit. how do i do this?

   How did it blow? it isnt hard to tell the differnce between the saxo engines. depends where your goin to get a new engine from. a main dealer would ask you for your cars chasie number...dont think i spelt that right (chasie) lol but a scrap yard, you just would have to find a saxo 1.1i (with good miles) mk1. Be careful, try and get one with rear damage, in case the engine took the impact and leaked oil, the engine may be seased, or the engine number on the block of the engine
