Important! : Standard 1.1 Mark 2 brake disc specs?

  1. #1
    Hi,
Am looking into uprating the brakes to some slightly better ones on my 1.1i Mark 2 saxo. I have come across these but want to just confirm that they will fit, it says they will on the site.

This is what the specs are according to the site.
    ;
Brembo Max Front Brake Discs (pair)
    247 x 10mm
    Car fitment
    Citroën Saxo 1.1i (Bendix system) (4-holes disc ) From: 1/1996> 12/2004

Im assuming that I have Bendix? and that 4 holes disc refers to the fact that i have a 4 stud hub?!

    Any input appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sam.

If its any help; wheels are 15"vts on 195/45 proxes.

If they do fit will i need bigger calipers?

and finally, will this affect insurance premium?

    Thanks.

those disks are standard size (ie exactly the same that you have now) Only difference between them and yours is that they're made by Brembo.

Would these be worth the money then, ie slightly better performing than standard?

    (Thanks for quick response)

if you want a good bang-for-buck upgrade have a look at a set of mintex disks and pads.

just found the same set of discs for almost half the price on kam-racing, so am considering buying these discs with a set of EBC Green Stuff pads from POTN. Would this work using two different brands of products together?
Reckon I should buy braided hoses aswell?

Also, in regards to insurance, will it increase if i declare these?

    Thanks.
(Need to figure out if i have bendix or ate, and whether 4 holes mean the fact that i use 4 bolts to secure my wheels?)
