  2. #2
theres a How-To on this mate!

    have a squint in there
  3. #3
Yeah i've look at that, does not really tell me anything about filling the holes in, just either putting rubber gromits in or LEDS, just wondering if there is anything esle you can do?
  4. #4
you could have cut the plastic bit down so that they sit flush when its locked, ive stuck grommets in mine from halfords
  5. #5
OK, Cheers for the info, looks like ill be popping to halfords tomorrow.

Simo got his filled and smoothed over I believe, maybe a bodyshop would do that for you?
  7. #7
yeh ive got mine smoothed over but only on the passenger door
  8. #8
does it match the pattern on the dash when smoothed in or is it a different shade?

i assume it's the actual metal under the doorcard which is smoothed.

if ya take door pins out how ya lock it from inside???

and do you guys really think its worth it cos i been debatin about doin it for ages!!!
  11. #11
i could open your car door in under 5 seconds and leave absolutely no trace of damage.

    Still sound debateable?(sp)

i use central locking fob or alarm fob to lock and unlock the doors
  12. #12
i got 1.1 though so cant use central lockin thing, waitin to get alarm fitted its got somethin about remote central lockin so ummm.

are there many other ways to break in at all that could be protected against???

Just done one side of the door, looks much better
Got a bit worried tho, because when i took the door card of and went to lock the door it lock then straight after it unlock it self. That worried me because i thought i fuck up some how. So i put the door card back on and it lock fine So i took the door card of again, took the door pin out put a rubber gromit in, put every thing back and its looks much better now.
Silly question: You dont need the door pins do you? Are they there for any reason?

Ive just removed my door pins and put a gromet in like most of u have. i hadnt got central locking either but if you look on www.diygti.com there is a central locking kit (opens and closes using a fob) for £25, if uve got the patience to set it up then its well worthwhile. nice cheap upgrade, read on there its got lifetime guarantee aswel
