#2imo it depends on how the cars been driven, how its been serviced, how many of those modifications are working as efficiently as theyre supposed to, etc etc.
too many variables to see, plus when u drive a car ur not used to its bound to be faster. -
#3edit that, meant bound to FEEL faster.
-
#4Engine servicing, there could be something wrong with your silvertop? And how many miles have they both got on them?
-
#5as above your silver top could have been abused in the past and may not be running to well, also the 16 rims your running will slighly decrese your accleration compared to a vtr with standard 14 rims on, plus as said your not used to that car so it may feel quicker when infact isnt
-
#6What year's the silvertop? Could be a 90bhp silvertop.
The blacktop coulda had the gearbox replaced with one thats got sensible ratios. Opposed to the VTR box which is silly long and poo for accelerating. -
#7i dont no the car is a t reg comes up on internet as 90 bhp but thourt the engine might have been changed
-
#8why not change the gearbox on the silvertop then you'll think thats the faster car
-
#9y will changing the gear box make it any quicker ?
-
#10Shorter gear ratios, means you will be able to accelerate faster

Try a rallye gear box
-
#12S1 i was thinking of...
-
#13shortest final drive you can get
no good for motorways lol
id go for a vts gearbox personally
maybe s2 rallye if you can find one -
#14Depends what he wants really, if he wont be spending that much time on the motorway tehn he wont need his final drive as much.
-
#15get them both dynod... or take them both to a track and see which does the best time ??
Probs in your head tho lol
