TAS Quickshift

    Hey new to sax-p how much are they and how easy are they to fit?

    when i take the old shifter out i.e at the base of the gear stick will oil go everyware or is it a cleen job!

    i think there is a few flying round on ebay mate.
    it is a clean job, the gear shift simply bolts to the selector under the car.

    nah you have to smash the plasic ball off the original gear stick until you just have the stick once you remove centre console and plastic/rubber sourounding of the original the TAS then goes over the gear stick and you can adjust how short you want the throw, removing the heatshield is also a good idea as i had mine rubbing on it

    buy the Haynes/Max Power modifying manual, its in there amoungst most other decnts step by step guides.
    I assure you that you dont have to smash the pastic ball!!!

    TAS/GMC one differs compared to the B&M one. The GMC/TAS one replaces the pivot (which Hwoarang is talking about) effectively lowering the pivot point, and therefore reduce the 'change throw'.

    Whereas the B&M one replaces the whole gear shift linkage etc. Much harder to install too. and is not fully adjustable like the GMC/TAS one.

    Very recommended by me by the way

    i have put the b&m one on mine and would really recommend them,i found it a piece of piss to fit
