   how mutch boost does the standerd engine on a vtr handle cus i can get a turbo kit cheers.

   i think its 6psi. maybe a bit more/less.

   More boost does not = more power
   
   
   Define the question a wee bit better, and you'll get better answers.
   IE - you say standard engine, but then you add standard ECU and standard injectors. Are you also including standard gearbox? Intercooled? etc etc.
   
   
   9psi of hot pressure will make less power than 7psi of cool pressure. Likewise the 7psi of cool pressure is likely to make the engine last longer. How long it will last will also depend on what your doing in terms of engine management - fuelling and ignition.
