  1. #1
hi has anybody on here ever fitted 206 gti seats into there saxo or if anyone knoes wether it will fit???

i have a full 206 gti interior and wanted to know if it would fit in a mk1 vtr.

    cheers

if you've already got one you should be able to see if it will fit or not.. Just trial fit it.. only 4 bolts per seat to take them out.
  3. #3
i know that but i thought i would just ask rather then pissin about.
  4. #4
You'd have the say the fronts would fit straight in?

    Rears though. Doubt it!
  5. #5
gti180 interior? i'd MAKE it fit if i had a full one of those
  6. #6
yeh a gti 180, got the full car for 200 quid, had a front end smash.

do we all reckon the fronts would slot straight in then?

    gutted about the rears though

    could i MAKE them fit

Get a tape measure out and measure the rear seats. From personal experience (sleeping in the back of a vtr and my 206) the 206 is bigger. Just depends if you can slot them in. You might be able to wedge them in but would be tight and maybe a little unsafe.

Front seat wise the 180 seats do sit very high.

    okay cheers mate.

hmmm "wedging" them in doesn't seem like the safest way really does it lol.

    how high?

will i feel like a knob sort of high?
  9. #9
It's not the actual height that it sits, it's the overall size of the seat. The back is very high. I have a normal gti and there's a guy down my road with a 180. When i drive past it always looks like the top of the seats are near the roof of the car. May be an issue in a saxo as it's smaller. I'd suggest taking out the seats and then just placing it in to see how it is.

If not, i'll buy the seats off you?

just sell the seats and engine for good money.

then buy bits that fit. far easyer/safer
  11. #11
^^ Agreed, sell the seats and engine and use the money to buy either 106 gti seats or a decent set of seats and have them retrimmed in leather...

how much does leather trimming cost though?

    its a fortune aint it?
  14. #14
Depends how much you want mate, would have to check a few things as this month i may be a little skint but i only want the front's. Maybe £150- £170. I can arrange a courier for the two and pay for packing materials for you as well

  18. #18

yeh the profits there, its just the effort really...

dont really like 106 leathers, the 206 ones are more of a bucket seat.
