#2yeh let it ware in dude... it'll soon be bleeding your ears!! also think about getting a straight through center pipe if you want it louder
-
#3Mine was dead quiet when i put it on my mk2 vtr. I fired it up for the first time and i was very dissaointed! It sounded almost standard!
They really come to life when you decat it. Then if you put a 4 branch manifold on they get quite loud and become more aggressive and raspy.
Then if you want it to sound like an out and out rally car use a straight through centre pipe! Lol!
Well maybe thats a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea! -
#4Im sure most places do a custom one for you, sounds, tips, etc So you can have it as loud as you want!
-
#5i fitted mine today, looks abit gay the way it sits and sticks out about 3 miles, but sounds decent enough.
didnt fin it hard to fit at all, although i had to julbylee (sp) clip it on -
#6mine is sitting of the left almost hitting the bumper the hieght is fine we had the bend the hangers around abit to get it nice. going into the garage we have in the family to get done for good
still hope it gets a bit louder might just be me wishful thinking but i thinks its getting there
lol
-
#7why do you want it alot louder?
It doesnt make it go faster the louder it is.
*inert consitpated tortoise gag here* -
#8no i dont think it will go faster im not even in it for the performance boost more just for a nice tune. i was just suprised after spending a 100 quid i got a more pleasing sound (imo) from a 30 quid box. ive spoke to the guy whos gonna position it right for me saud he would take the centre box out n put a straight section in for me for nothing

#9Why the fuck do people like loud exhausts?
I'm trying my best to get mine as quiet as I can. -
#11^^ thats the one !
-
#12lol pure noise isnt good in my opinoin, a raspy note with a exaust that pops when you come off the accelarator is good
as said, a straight through centre pipe should make it sound much better
-
#13I had a ashley backbox on my vtr. I was also really dissapointed at first but after a few hundred miles it was exactly what i had hoped for
-
#14exactky that is what i woud like to aim for hopefully removing the centre box will give me the result im after, can only try !
-
#15so do you think it is worth getting on because i was going to buy one of these back boxes are they really easy to fit aswell?
-
#16the box is an easy enough job to fit on to the existing pipe. the hardest bit is getting the saxo flange clip open enough to slip on and off. i used two spanners to pull it open a little bit. the hardest bit i found was to get it sitting nicely out of the bumper. the arms it comes with just take a bit of trial and error to get them in the right place. we even bent the longer one to make it sit a bit higher. its only a 30min-hour job for me. hopefully if what people have said is correct the sound will improve over time, ill let you know what the outcome of removing the centre section later today.

#17decided against taking out the middle box. due to the rozzas round ere being a bit lame on noise. the guy who was gonna do it did it on one of his n kept getting done over n made to fit silencers. the back box is starting to sound better already so im happy as is
