#2Up to you mate its your car..
-
#3depends what your wanting to do, first mods id suggest would be the breather mods, ie induction kit, exhaust system and manifold
-
#4try an airfilter?
-
#5Personnaly I wouldnt do anything to it. Drive round a year, enjoy it, dont crash, get a years no-claims then buy a vtr.
Air Filter, exhaust, manifold = £500 = 5bhp at most? -
#6have a look at other people's progress threads and you may just get inspired...

#7my first car was french. When something on it broke I replaced it with a performance part
.. and thats how I got into modding
-
#8same thing mate except my first was a ford so broke a bit less, but not much lol,Quote:my first car was french. When something on it broke I replaced it with a performance part

do whatever you want to your car mate we cant tell you what to do only advise you on the mods you decide, look at some prog threads for ideas. -

#10if you like the car and are keeping it for a while then mod away, do what you like to make it look better in your eyes. filter and a new backbox will make it sound better and look a little better from behind
-
#11just try and spend as little money on it as possible. just keeping a car running and maintained is expensive enough
-
#12A decent brake and suspension set up would be worth doing alot more than power. A-B you'll be quicker than quite a few bigger engine cars as what they have in power you'll have in handling
-
#13dont worry about performance, put a 106gti leather interior in there and a nice sound system
-
#14or slam it on 17's y0
-
#17my bad
-
#18I wouldnt bother. Not going to get any real gains out of it so it would be better to put the money towards a vtr or vts. If you want to mod it get it lowered with nice wheels, soundsystem? so it will look the part. Drive it for a year then upgrade.
-
#19just buy a fast car to start with i have gone the hard way and spent way 2 much on it
-
#20i'd just keep it mint, enjoy your time with it.
If you are looking for performance, you bought the wrong model. -
#21lower it with just some springs, get some cheap alloys and a back box for noise. Try and do it all your self or with a mate and learn your way round a car.
Then go out and enjoy it and learn how to drive and upgrade in a year or 2
