is there much point in flushing the boot because i went round to a couple of body shops and they told me there is no point because if you close your boot hard you could crack the fillers and even if it gets a tiny knock the fillers could crack?

#3Not if it's done properly.Quote:Originally Posted by coylzeris there much point in flushing the boot because i went round to a couple of body shops and they told me there is no point because if you close your boot hard you could crack the fillers and even if it gets a tiny knock the fillers could crack?

#4LOL what a load of crap. It'll only crack if they ain't done it right. I've had mine smoothed for nearly 2 years and never had a problem.
-
#5Would only crack if you use filler, don't most bodyshops weld a plate over it?
-
#6yeah but they then use a layer of filler to give it a smooth surface.
-
#7Mines fine too and mines been done for a year and a half.
-
#8a boot skin is likely to wobble and crack.
a bodyshop with any savvy at all would know to weld a sheet of metal over and smooth it, and have no problems what so ever -

-
#16Those chrome rear lights were one of only two ever made if I remember correctly, one pair was stolen too.
-
#17who made them?silvertec?i bet they cost a fair bit lol
-
#18Silvatec have nothing to do with them, according to Rob_Quads they're Severnside Motorsport Prototype Chrome Rear Lights although they use the same technology I'm sure.
If you use the search - you'll find all you need to know about them as they've been covered a lot of times.
Rob_Quads's were the ones stolen I think -
#19They were made by Ultra. It wasn't Rob's that were stolen though, it was the other set I'm sure.
