flushing boot

is there much point in flushing the boot because i went round to a couple of body shops and they told me there is no point because if you close your boot hard you could crack the fillers and even if it gets a tiny knock the fillers could crack?

    Not if it's done properly.

LOL what a load of crap. It'll only crack if they ain't done it right. I've had mine smoothed for nearly 2 years and never had a problem.

Would only crack if you use filler, don't most bodyshops weld a plate over it?
  6. #6
yeah but they then use a layer of filler to give it a smooth surface.

Mines fine too and mines been done for a year and a half.

a boot skin is likely to wobble and crack.

a bodyshop with any savvy at all would know to weld a sheet of metal over and smooth it, and have no problems what so ever

that black saxo looks so nice!!!

Those chrome rear lights were one of only two ever made if I remember correctly, one pair was stolen too.
  17. #17
who made them?silvertec?i bet they cost a fair bit lol
  18. #18
Silvatec have nothing to do with them, according to Rob_Quads they're Severnside Motorsport Prototype Chrome Rear Lights although they use the same technology I'm sure.

If you use the search - you'll find all you need to know about them as they've been covered a lot of times.

Rob_Quads's were the ones stolen I think

They were made by Ultra. It wasn't Rob's that were stolen though, it was the other set I'm sure.
