35mm...?

  1. #1
i know everyone hates these qustions so sorry in advance... i've got a vtr on vts rims,, thinking of lowering 35mm on the front. do you think that's low enough? or would it not be noticable...

i think it would be noticable, it is about a inch and a half after all. about that height is meant to be best for handaling anyway.

yeah i've read the height quide but i just wanted peoples opinions on it...

In that case, imo it's not worth it

When I wanted my car lowered I wanted people to actually notice it had been lowered.

To me, 35mm just looks like standard ride height, i'd go 50mm at least, I went with 60mm in the end on the front

i want it to be noticed,, that's why i wasn't sure on the 35mm. did you need your arches rolled for that?

I think 35mm would be perfect for handling/ a bit of looks. Around 50mm for looks alone !

I removed my arche liners when I fitted the VT kit, im on 15" alloys

    Back is on about 80mm
    Front has 60mm springs

    No rubbing thankfully!

okay that's brilliant. where did you purchase your springs from? ebay seems exspensive atm.

Drove down to ABP motorsport in Nantwhich, think they were on offer £45 for 60mm PI springs

that's cheap... so you didn't change your struts?

my vtr on vts rims, 35mm front, 40 rear
(1st pic is before/after it was lowered) , you can notice it to standard but i will still go lower in the future cos i just like the slammed look

35mm isn't very satisfying 2bh. I went down 35mm about a year ago and now i regret it. I would like to go down 50/60 in the future. So go above 40mm to be noticed.

arnt the vtr/vts 10mm lower than other models, may have to take this into account.

everyone seems to be pointing towards 50 then... 10mm wont make too bigger difference i wouldn't of thought...
