Loweing and steering rack

  1. #1
When I get my vtr im planning on going down 40mm on spax springs. When I was talkin to my mate he said that if you go any lower then 35mm it starts to interfear with the steering rack, is this right? Ive searched on here but as far as i can tell you have to make no ajustments for lowering.

Cheers for any help with this

This is the first i have heard?

I think if u go so low then u have to adjust the power steering pipe or something like that.

Yea first ive hear of it too. I think your right about the PAS pipe though, hear about people who have not moved them and then they have burst

40mm is an ideal height imo mate. One of the PS pipes does rub... apparently it can be bent out the way though.

it is a hard job to adjust or is can the garage do it while they are doing the springs?

mine 60mm all round and never moved the pipe, hopefully it wont burst but yeah the garage will be able to just move it a bit for you

the PAS pipe will need moving i guess, or changed to a rubber one apprntly wil help too.
