Well apart from the fact people will ask you why your bonnet is open lol

I think they look ok on track cars but imo not cool on road cars!

I think more to do with throttle bodies, standard bonnets should close over a strutbrace....

here is a pic of mine...

just lets warm air out of the bay tbh. ts a trick borrowed of teh RS Turbo boys really. Personal preference as to whether they look good or not. I have them on mine, but thats function over form really
  17. #17
looks alot better on the mk1's imo.
  18. #18
my mates fiesta xr2i was overheating so he got the bonnet raised and it runs fine now
  19. #19

still a stupid idea imo because on a saxo the air intake is at the rear, so all you are actualy doing is drawing hot air over the intake,

that said on that blue saxo it does look pimp!

personaly preference but imo if the engine bay is overheating cure the problem dont cover it up by fitting raisers
  23. #23
when i had the bonnet raisers on mine i only noticed a slight difference when just driving about in general but when i was on the motorway driving hard it made quite a difference, sat well below the half way, but now that iv took them off, if im on the motorway the temp gauge will sit at half way exactly so they do work ok.
  24. #24
dont like it on mk2's but think it looks ace on mk1's if mine was a mk1 id deffinately do it!

    incorrect.

i had to put washers in so my bonnet would go over the strut brace
