Changing my engine...

Hey, my engine in my 97 mk1 saxo VTR has blown and am looking about for others.... i found a decent mk2 VTR engine with 68k and was just wondering if its a straight swap, apperntly it may need wiring splicing as its a mk2? and if i get a mk1 saxo engine is tht still a straight swap if its say a 98 or 99?

    Thanks alot, Joe

if your gonna fit the mk2 you will need wiring loom and ecu cuz the engine bay loom in a mk2 wont connect to the mk1 wiring loom (main plug in bottom right of engine bay) if your gonna put a mk1 vtr back in it will be straight forward no loom requirded . hope that helps
