VTR/VTS engine mountings

on the drivers side, the mounting is bigger than what is on a 1.1 etc. Around it there is metal housing thing which seems to be welded in and the big mounting sits in this. Anybody know where you could get one of these from or do you think might have to get one made from scratch?
Dont really wanna get one from a crashed saxo cause might be weak etc etc

anything will be great

have you done an engine conversion pal,the vtr/vts are different to the 1.1

the vts is different to the vtr as well.

yeah i put a vts engine in but currently still using 1.1 mountings. I cant put a vts one on unless i somehow get the housing which it sits in and i dont know where to get one

Im not sure if you can buy the VTS mount support.. try ringing citroen.

If you are using the 1.1 mount, if I recall correctly, your engine will be sitting lower on that side, adding more stress to the driveshaft.

are all the 3 mountings different on the vtr to the vts

I cant remember if we used the vts mountings for mine or not? Mine seems to be fine though.

no its just the engine side on vtr/vts that is different, the gearbox battery side is same on 1.4-vts. and all lower gearbox mounts are the same.

On engine mount the holes dont line up if you use the vtr mount, you can fit it but it uses 3 out of the 4 holes.
