16v conversion - interior loom?

    Do you need an interior loom for a conversion? Or can u just plug and play and use my existing clocks?

    Ive got mk1 Single plug car atm and bought a single plug 16v engine.

    Got:
    Engine
    Gearbox
    engine loom
    ECU (wil unlock it)

    I need:
    driveshafts

    Do i need the interior loom and clocks?

    Anything else i need. Being told one thing by some poeple then another from other poeple, and threads on here contridict themselfs lol.

    You dont need driveshafts.

    Dont need the interior loom Or clocks

    You may need a Vts radiator but some people run with vtr's and are ok, otheres run hot... Mk1's seem to be better cooling.

    Youll need the engine top mount also, the others can be used off the old engine.

    Youll need a vts throttle cable

    Will need to either block fuel return line or plumb another one bak to tank

    Dont forget other expenses such as oils, Gaskets, labour, engine crane hire if u haent got one, and other little bits. Also airbox/pipework or induction kit from vts.

    Hope this helps, have found most of this by searching stickies etc

    Cheers mate. I will need driveshafts, as i havnt got any lol.

    Ive read through all the stickies and some other threads too btw.

    Which top mount do i need? Theyre the same as a 1.4? and ive just bought Group N engine mounts.

    Already bought oil, gaskets are all sound, untill i get the 4,2,1. Phoning around for labour for last two days. My indcution kit will fit the vts aswell.

    Need a enw rad as it is. And throttle cable aint a problem.

    So just the top mount am confused about. Also been told i need a vts pump? didnt know i needed that?

    the alloy mount on the engine, did it come with one? as there different iirc

    also the top radiator hose is different ull need vts one

    ahh so you mean, the bracket type thingy? on the ECU mount?

    Well the Rad i got atm has a leak, so il just wait untill i get the vts engine in and put a vts rad setup in etc
