    wow refurbing your wheels takes a long time and a lot of patience lol, its takin me bout hour-n-half to sand 1 wheel with 120 grit paper ive still got to go over it with 1200 grit, and they are only standard vtr rims, but its all about the prep so ive just got to hang in there and they will look awesome, anyone else taken that long to 3/4 of a wheel total sanding?

    Yeah when i did my dads 19inch mtech alloys at work it took me from 8:30am to 5:30pm, thats using a mini DA sander, AC gel then full prime on them all, flat them off and straight into the booth for paint. Could only give them a 20 min bake though to the normal 40 min i give them due to time. They were very badly curbed though.
    I dont see why you are using 1200 grit thats a waste of time, you can finish with 320 grit and aersol prime over that and no problems at all.

    nah im not moaning about abouth the length of time lads lol im just saying if you thing your gonna have them done in a day by hand sanding your gonna gonna be sadly mistaken just take your time

    ino took me about about 3 hour a wheel to prep lol but the resulst are awsome just take your time with spraying them

    Knowing me I'll spend hours and hours prepping them and then fuck up the spraying...

    lol well even if you get a run you can sand it away, but they you got to do loads of prep work again to sort it out, i just need to decide what colour im gonna spray, had a look in halfrauds yesterday and seen ford graphite grey or something that looks quite nice, or i may just respray em the original silver colour

    Summed it up straight away there. Prep means everything with any paintwork. Can be the best painter/sprayer in the world but if the base that you're working on is poor then the paint will only amplify it and make it look worse

    Keep up the good work anyway, itll be worth it in the end even if you do have blisters from all the sanding
