T-Cutting?

  1. #1
    Hi.

Well im going for the black theme on my icelandic furio.

Was wondering if i t cut the saxo and citreon badges, will it make them go black?

Also if i did it with the front grill?

Doest cut like... take off colour?

    Thanks,

    Craig

You can T-cut the "Citroen" and "Saxo" rear badges to remove the silver paint.

But with the front chevrons you will need to remove them and spray them. There are most probably some small guides in some progress threads, have a look around the site....the search button may help. Second in from the right on the navigation bar

    I see

What t cut do i want?

Looked on halfords for a check and theres like loads of colour ones etc.

What one will make it go black? And it says its a colour restorer...

    Not sure how it works

you want the original t-cut, it goes black because it takes of the silver paint on the badges it takes a little while to do and you get full on wankers cramp but it does look good i did mine before i sprayed them white.

i just used a halfords sanding block on mine with smooth wet and dry, took the silver off no bother. no need for a sore arm.

i alwyas read that t-cutting takes ages and hurts your arms... i did mine, no shit was over in 2-3 mins, once quick rub with t-cut and they went black...

does it really get that difficult for some badges
but deffo somethign worth doing, looks great in black!

ive jsut sprayed my chevvys on the front black too, whilst i wait for my dimma grill to arrive!

Nop u can leave the badges on, i just used some old cloth and after you have finished T-cutting the badges make sure you wax the paint around the badges as T cut will have got on it. This will give the paint around the badges extra protection

nice stealth look you've got going on there with the black badges on black body.

Has anyone sprayed their rear badges the same colour as their bodywork so they are minimal? (Other than black - preferably wicked red)
