this isnt really that improtant or interesting but ive always wanted that loud double bleep when u lock with the fob

    any kits, ideas??

Yeh i know what you mean, its more satisfying id settle for a double flash of the indicators but dont even get that

    Buy an alarm?

Mine beeps twice when locking, and the indicators flash twice, once with each beep.
When i unlock it beeps once and the indicators flash once.

Is that due to your alarm? If so what's your set up

    yeah it is.
its an aftermarket one that the previous owner had put on the car so not 100% sure, but i think its a make of alarms called 'sigma'

Some alarms turn your sidelights on when you unlock it, and they go off when you open the door, others turn on interior lights aswell, and some keep dipped beam on for 20 seconds after locking.

others have engine start, so you can start your engine from a button on your key fob

just had a quick search for Sigma alarm systems and this was the only result: http://www.ncs-systems.com/res/394....no mention of locking and unlocking conformation

& my car isn't worth an alarm that good

first things first I need to get a central locking kit and fobs. Cheap as chips:

that sounds more like what my car deserves .....I'll look into them, anyone else using a Hawk alarm? A fitting guide would be good if you can't get it fitted anywhere

i'd leave alarm fitting to the pros tbh , the maxpower haynes guide has a guide iirc...

I agree with Rod tbh when it comes to electrics and security, just had a look at a few of the Hawk systems and they mention a DIY fitting guide which I'm not too keen on but I bet a pro would still fit it, maybe not in a big business but someone on their own or a small business. I'm considering getting one of these now: http://www.hawkcaralarm.com/alarm1.html good price just hope they're reliable.....better than no alarm though, I suppose I'll let you all know how it goes if anyone else is interested in these alarm systems

So that Hawkins will bleep on locking and unlocking cuz for that price I'll have one for sure

Yeah the hawk alarms beep or it did on my corsa till i sold it you could fit it yourself as there a diagram come with it but you have to splice into most wires behind the dash lol i will try get a picture of the diagram up it it big enough. When i had mine fitted and my uncle had his fitted it cost around £110 for fitting and takes about 4- 5 hours
