hi, just wanna know what manifold and cam will give me best performance for a vtr mk2?

You want the later GMC, a Piper or Supersprint 4-2-1 (fit this with extra manifold to head gaskets to space it away from the oil filter slightly) manifold.

In terms of a cam, Newman do a PH1 and PH3 for the roller rocker engine. The PH1 is very mild, uses a similar power band to standard and doesn't need a remap. The PH3 will have a lumpy idle and moves the power band up the rev range - you'll need a remap to take advantage of it.

You also have the Kent PT40 and Piper '285' which are essentially a 266 duration cam... not far off a PH3. Should make the car idle slightly lumpy but will offer noticeable gains, even without a remap. If your car is 2001+ (98bhp engine), it's highly recommended you run uprated valve springs with an aftermarket cam - Piper can provide these.

    wkd, cheers mate

will the janspeed 4-2-1 manifold work with the extra gasket

I could be wrong mate but I think the Janspeed won't work with the revised oil filter. They do one with an incorporated sports CAT which does fit.

The Supersprint is designed to work with the revised oil filter but does still catch the lower metal section of it - hence using extra gaskets to give it a few more mm of clearance.
