bored out ? ?

   i was gonna rebuild the bottom end of my engine after this summer an was thinkin bout gettin it bored out, anyone have any advice i.e whether its worth doing ? ? cheers

   not really worth doing if i recall.
   
   I think QEP do do a 1800cc kit to make the vts a 1.8 but it is £££££
   
   I think you'd have cooling problems if you bored it out too much due to the the thicknes of the walls at standard

   supose yeah, cituning do a kit too but thats gonna be mega bucks eint it too, not really worth it then even for the power gain

   If you bored it out much more than standard - you'll need to buy pistons. Making it expensive. If you were already going to buy pistons - fair enough.
   
   The 1800cc kit QEP supply is more a stroker kit, than boring out the cylinders. Change in stroke length, along with custom pistons to deal with the extra throw give a higher cc. Can of course be combined with boring out the cylinders for more cc.

   Does onyone on here actaully have a stroker kit? and how much? and what kind of increase can it give?
