NOS!!

   hi guys, ok i would LOVE to have a nitrous oxide kit in my car.
   
   However im going to play safe and be legal. i only want it for show purposes.
   
   iv been looking around everywere for an imitation NOS bottle and iv seen one however it sold on ebay before i had chance to bid. what is the law behind having an EMPTY nos bottle in your car that ISNT connected to anything?
   
   if no chance could some one point me in the direction as to where to get an imitation bottle, they do exist however years ago when car modifications were big. you used to be able to order them from caterlouges.

   You can use nos on the roads you know! Just need to insured by a company that cover use of NOS like Adrian Flux!

   lol cheers mate i apprisiate that however its only for show so an empty tank will do or an imitation bottle, and dont have to hassle the insurance company lol.

   just buy a nos bottle.. im sure you cna find a empty one sumware just dont hook it up

    the problem with purge kits is that anyone who knows about N2O knows you have a shit kit as with a proper WON kit you dont need a purge kit

    my mate has NOS fitted in his Corsa B, takes it up to 200bhp. very fast lol

    no with a real one you need a purge kit to clear the lines and get the nos to the end of the line so you dont inject air and stall the engine

    ^Have you got it? Pretty sure tweeqd had it, so he knows what hes on about. Mate of mine had a WON kit and didnt have a purge too.
    
    You can have a fully plumbed in kit, as long as the valve is turned off at the canister, you're ok, im 99% sure thats the case as the law see it, cause you cant 'accidently' knock the master switch, activate the microswitch at full throttle and whoops...

    at the minute im insured with nos from adrian flux and have been for the last couple of years but i never got round to fetting a kit. adrian flux said its perfectly legal to use on the roads but they will only insure systems from high power systems or wizard of nos as theyre the only ones that meet their standards. from what i can gather , high power systems are owned by wizards of nos, just a different label...

    so there is no way i can get a dumy or imitation nos bottle even if i make one but i want the bottle to actually look like nos bottle. even get the nos decal?

    i've had nitrous on my saxo for nearly 12 months, i've never had to 'purge' to clear the lines and i've ran roughly 90lbs of nitrous through it.
    
    as the other guy said, with a decent kit like the WON kit, you don't need to purge the lines.
