yellow calipers

    i want to paint them this weekend, but been to halforsd to find hammerite and some yellow caliper paint, would u still go with the hammerite or would the other stuff be better?

    ive got hammerite mate...clean the calipers up before you paint though

    mine are hammerite'd, came out well with a good prep first

    cheers guys will be getting paint this afternoon, any other tips that might be useful?

    just give it a good clean with some degreaser (can get that in halfords aswell), then maybe a quick rub down with some wet and dry if need be to get rid of the tougher dirt and crap build up, give it a quick rinse after, dry, then give it a good few coats, should be ok then

    ok this suck ass big time, can't for the life of me find any hammerrite yellow paint, been to 4 different b&q's and halfords stores not one of them do yellow. so gonna put it off till next week unless anyone knows where else to get this stuff from online? and a dumb ass question to follow what size pot of paint do i need to do all four eventually?

    ebay sold yellow caliper paint for when I did mine,3 years later still looks fine

    what colour is your car by the way?

    posi blue, wanted yellow cal's or red but chose yellow then couldn't get the yellow in the shops for love nor money so ordered it off e bay

    on another capiler question somewhere on here someone has added only put light coats of the yellow on, any reason for this?

    lots of little coats gives a better finish than one big coat

    thats weird, they sell yellow hammerite in my local halfrauds

    i done mine yellow.. i just sprayyed the calliper wiv brake cleane then jus painted them.. i would use a small paint brush.. its alot easier.. and u may need 2 coats wiv the paint from halfords it isnt very thick
