Service From a citreon garage

   depends on your mileage. i went the other day for a quote... they qouted me around £140 for a standard oil change, oil fiter, fuel filter etc... then at 75k the service was inclusive of a cam belt change. but that was sub £200.

   Thats not actually bad for a dealership cambelt service.

   Got mine done at citroen slough, full service £204, not too bad, thought might as well go with them as theres no stamps in the book for the past 40k miles!
   
   Since i had the service, brakes are really well responsive. The engine sounding very smooth and fans aren't kicking in a quarter as much so i guess a thumbs up. May be expensive in some peoples eyes but to me seems like they did do a very decent job of it.

   could someone please go into detail about 'minor service' and 'major services' please whats actually involved with both of them?
   
   im guessing a minor service is just oil, gearbox oil, spark plugs, oil& fuel filter
   
   and major changing belts etc whhen at certain mileage.
   
   just i want to give my car a super service to get it spot on again...

    dont know about minor and major services but i could dig out my haynes and tell you what needs doing and how often mate?

    A minor service is usually oil filter, check brakes, wheels and bearings, tyre pressures thats about it.
    
    major would be everything like lubericate doors/hinges, adjust handbrake, clean up brakes, oil/air/pollen filters, check for leaks, anti freeze strength, check all bushes/ bearings etc theres alot more done on a major than on a minor.

    Booked a full service for tomorow at my local kwikfit garage for £136.
    I would advise ringing round for quotes mate, worked for me

    minor service is yearly init? they lubricate all hinges on that and door locks and do air filter too iirc?
    
    
    i did some work experience at a fiat garage 5 years ago so i know they lubricate hinges etc on each service

    i went into citoren last friday to get some window guide clips and saw the price list and for an oil change on saxo was 60

    I'm gettin a service done at my local garage for £50 tomorrow morning. Thats without changing the air filter as i have a induction kit and with me providing the spark plugs.

    ok and an air filter as well but its pretty basic tho compaired to a major
