BHP from Westcoast?

  1. #1
this may have already been posted but could nto find a specific thread, so apologies if this is a repost....

what kind of BHP/Torque figures can i expect from a westcoast? whats the max you can bring out of the engine?

at the moment ive got a scorpion backbox, a straight through supersprint race section, piper induction kit.

any tips or suggestions to improve, other than a cam and remap?

    cheers
    tom

75 stock mate, id say about 85+ with the mods you have done,
  3. #3
yehhh i knew it was 75 stock.. am trying to aim for stock VTR standard
  4. #4
hmm, vtr head, intake manifold and a uprated cam should be around 100 then
  5. #5
yerrr thats what am aiming for..
il have to come over to notts and put ur pug to shame

im guessing breathing mods, mani, decat, backbox, induction kit, .. for 600 i guess some cams would get you there easily?

    well thats pure FAIL

well just buy a VTR? by the time you have paid to tune it you could of bought one...

try new cams and a re-map then you got your power... probs 100bhp at least
  12. #12
yeah exactly.. hence why i said apart from cams, cos for that price id just end up putting a vts conversion
  13. #13
put a vts in then, you aint gona get 100 - 120 from a 1.4 without cams remap etc, i first thought you wer doing it for the novalty of having a stupid fast 1.4..
  14. #14
i was... but then that kid said about cams.. theyre a later option.

i reckon with some wild cams, maybe a vtr head... lookin at 120?
  15. #15
someone got 90BHP on here with breathing mods exhaust, mani, filter
  16. #16
wild cams may require new pistons with notches cut for the valves to stop them hitting

Is that the power figure without the cam being mapped? That is pretty good tbh

Probably between 110-115bhp. Exhaust, manifold, induction and a cam.

For 120bhp from a 1.4 it'd need to be an unbelieveably huge cam, possibly even ITBs.
