cleaning engine bay out

   hi folks just wondering if anyone knows how i could clean out my engine bay so that it doesnt look dirty so the chasis paint comes through because mines looks way dirty

   wrap clingfilm around all electricals... spray it with some kind of de-greaser / engine baby cleaner, and use a power hose to wash off.... take off cling film and should be lookin good man.

   i know alot of the auto glym products are good... expensive, but you get what you pay for.
   ive just finished re-building an engine for my 200 and when i stripped it i put it all in this, oil and grease remover from halfrauds, 6.99 for a red bottle of it, and it work'd a beaut!
   
   took all my crap off and my engine looks new! dont know how it would work in the bay though, because i let it soak over night in a bucket and scrubbed it after.
   
   id proberally say the engine bay cleaner from auto g
   make you you mask up electricals though, and the induction kit / air box... i didnt and it make a lovel noise for about 10 miles after and baffled like a bitch!

   Autoglym engine and machine cleaner from halfords. Get the hi-tec wheel brush too, to agitate the dirt if its really grubby.

   try not to spray too much water at/into seald and moving parts, especially if pressure washing or steam cleaning, will eat any bearings! squeky squeky after that.

   be sure to get some pics up , before and after
   im in the middle of polishing up my cam cover... after i got annoyed and couldnt be arsed to get the rest of the rust off, i just primered the fuck out of it and painted it white

    Asin sanding down and trying to get a polished metal shine? Cant really do it to vtr cam cover as its steel and will rust like fcuk,
