    What will this be like?

A mate is interested in buying a VTR engine off me. Just wondering if he'll need gearbox aswell.

quicksilver box is the same as a westocast box aint it? Which is pratically the same as a vtr box.

Will need the interior and engine loom.
Either unlocked ECU or the transponder and barrel and key for the vtr engine.
    Engine block and head.
The quicksilver gearbox will be fine.

    Ok cheers mate

We'll be able to unlock the ECU as the cars still running.

The loom is going to be a ball ache of a job to get out but oh well.

    Cheers

Will save yourself about £100 then on the unlocking of the ECU!

Also the clocks will need to be changed, as the mk2 clocks are digital milage. I should imagine anyway. May aswell keep the clocks for the engine too, if you can.

Same size alternator i think, thought they might have different mounting, not 100% sure. I know vtr-tec had issues with putting a vtr alternator on a vts engine. But he managed to adapt his anyway.

All saxo's and 106's have the same alternator except diesel models. Just different length belts.
