lambda sensor wont f***ing budge!!!!

    anyone got any ideas or magic tricks to help me get my top lambda sensor out of my old manifold got a second hand mani off sax-oli just finished putting it on but cant get the sensor out of mine to put in the new one i cant heat it as my blowtorch is broke so im gettin rather p***ed off any suggestions????

    penetrating oil.

    if not its new sensor time.

    as said above penetrating oil is good, could you borrow a blow lamp from somebody else? Heat is gooooood.

    ive drowned the fucker in wd40 it still wont move how much is a new lambda gunna set me back im guessin around the £20/30 mark that might save me some stress...

    You could cut the connector off and use a 22mm ring spanner - would mean soldering the connector back on though. Mine was jammed solid and started to round... got a new sensor from a scrap yard instead.

    was gona cost me £60 quid for a brand new one. i got pissed off with mine and stood on it.made a loud crack then hay presto it came undone.

    new lambda from euro car parts was £50 with discount for my friend!

    wd40 is not penetrating oil.

    Ask sayer how to undo them, I hear he has muscles of steel

    large adjusterbal spaner always works for me

    If it's a 3 plug with twin lambdas, the first sensor (green connector) adjusts the fueling. The second one (blue connector) just checks CAT efficiency and doesn't affect fueling - this is the one you sleeve if you're using a decat.

    yep large adjustable
    make sure its gripping tightly and tap the end of the spanner with a hammer

    always works for me

    i took ur advise it made sense and hey pesto it came undone with some wd4o 22mm ring spanner an all the strength i could muster just soldered the connector back together job done....

    a good idea for next time u do somethink like that is to run the engine for 20mins before u start work that way no need to use blow torch ect and it will be nice and hot..heating one spot with blow torchs can protenially crack centain parts as your only heating one spot, i always do when doing glow plugs lambdas ect at work...
