Acceleration Upgrade

Ok well, I searched and couldn't find the question I want to ask, so here it is:

What's the best value-for-money acceleration upgrade, and how much should I expect to pay? On a VTR btw.

strip your car of un needed weight like rear seats its free and makes car lighter improveing acceleration, 4-2-1 manifold, decat and centre section, backbox, enclosed induction kit, port and polished throttle body these are the cheapest options after that gets expensive

How much would all of that cost? I don't really want to get rid of the back seats, although I know it's extra weight. I tend to get money giving lifts

Cheers for the info as well.

strip everything out of your car completly. you will notice the difference and it costs nothing to do at all

dont put a sound system in, and if you can live with it- loose the spare wheel.

as said stripping the car doesnt cost nowt, im sure you could still keep the back seats in, anyway save up off all the lifts and get a 16v conversion, you can do it on the cheap

try a shorter ratio gearbox aswell mate, like an xsi box or vts, xsi has a shorter ratio though. that will help acceleration as the vtr box is loooooong as lol

it depends how much you buy a box for and wether you rebuild it as to its price, but a decent box could set you back 150 and then may aswll replace the clutch while your there unless its not long been changed but thats about 50 then its a case of fit yourself or get some one to do it which will cost more money plus a couiple of other things all in could be about 250 if you do it cheap and dont change syncros or bearings or could spend 350 or 400 for decent one and fitting etc

    good upgrade though
