  1. #1
    Hi Guys

As your aware i've got the VTS engine to go into my VTR, its looking glim but im struggling to find anyone who can do it for me. I've asked Colin and he said he could do it, and i need it done this weekend, but i cant look at my PM's to see if he has replied to say he's free this weekend or not, So... COLIN!! If your free, just message me on here and ill come and check this later... If not, im in DESPERATE need of someone to come and do this for me, i'm in milton keynes, i have everything needed for the conversion etc etc, just dont have the mechanic to do it or any of the tools.. LOL. (i've already hired an engine lift from Brandon's for the weekend)

As stated ill obviously sort you out some cash, and a few bacon sandwich's through-out the conversion..

    Anyone? Anyone at all??

i'll do it for £250 in a day but you would need to bring car and engine up to newcastle.

Just a wee bit too far for me mate...lol, thanks though. Plus the car isn't running at all.

Any other weekend and i might have been able to try and do it in one day, starting pretty early.

Give it a go yourself - itsn't too hard, just have a search on here for some of the answers

I am busy as have arranged to get a few bits done to my car. Can you not hang on for 3 weeks, and I cangive it a go in one day. Plus Milton Keynes is a long way away from Bristol so would cost a lot.

Feel free to pm me if you have any questions, I might be able to help.

Cheers mate... and to be honest, no i cant.. 2 people working 3 jobs between them with only 1 car is a little bit of a mission im afraid.. lol.

to be honest mate, you dont need a hoist or out like that.. put the gearbox on first, then slide the engine on, some man power!

    LOL @ Steve_VTS...

Sorry guys, forgot to update you. I've got a mechanic who lives next to my parents who has offered to do it for quite a nice price, only thing is.. i think my old man only told him it was a straight swap for another VTR Engine... So ill check with him, and i dont think he can do it this weekend.

Sparco Tom - PM is on its way.

its not particularly hard to do as long as your new engine loom is the correct size to attach to the interior loom, with little to no knowledge of the saxo engine i did mine in a day but i did have use of an engine crane
  13. #13
if you have a crane or at least a decent jack and tools i could come up and do it for you tomorrow for £200
  14. #14
    Jesus christ!! lol....

Im getting offers left right and centre now, and right on the day before i need it doing..lol

Ok, thanks for all offers, im waiting on a couple of people to come back to me, so ill get back to the peeps who have offered a little later on once i get home from work.

I have an engine crane thats coming tomorrow from Brandons hire company, got it for £1 for both saturday and sunday.. Oh the perks of working for Wolseley Group!

Good News! Got a the guy who lives near my parents to do it, and for just a few beers. Think he owe's my dad a favour.. lol. So, hopefully i should have it back by Monday or tuesday at the latest in full VTS form!! After all this stress trying to get her fixed im actually starting to get excited... i fucking hope this has been worth the hassle, ive never driven a VTS, an especially after the trouble with the girlfriends car

Thanks for all the help you've offered, i really appreciate it. I'm doing a C.D for a friend of mine who's been nagging me for ages for one. Gonna do it in a weeks time because i've got a week off work! I'm sure i could run off a few copy's and post them on to you. Just to show my grattitude. Just need address's nearer the time...

Thanks again. Roll on next week!!
