is 25.2 mpg or 11.2 L/100km normal for VTR ?

   have me VTR just three days, at monday I take full tank, and today after 140km/87 miles was refueling again = 15,87L the average you can see in title, that’s is worst than me 235 bhp corsa(25,5mpg/ 11,1L average), know that after few days was driving it quiet faster (mostly in city) but just not sure if it is not too much ??? as I know that this engine shut be little bit economical, if that can not indicate some problems with engine ???

   So you got 87 miles to a full tank? Somethin is really wrong if thats the case as i get more miles than that to only £10 worth of fuel.

   i did 87 miles with 15,87L = 3,49 imp. galon

   Hmm, lately I ragged my VTR about for half a tank, then drove pretty carefully, I got 31mpg. If I drive normal to conservatively, I've had 49 mpg. When I say gallon, I mean the one that has 4.55 litres in it.

   sorry, me mistake 4,5460920 L in the gallon, as I was reading some information’s on internet, was thinking that can got some around 31-35 mpg, from 25 I am quite surprised...

   Am i missing something here? How do you know what MPG your getting, i dont have a trip computer, do you? Or are you just working it out?

    15 litres of fuel should see you about 150 motorway miles, but id still expect to see 100 city miles at least from a VTR

    Dunno what the mpg is but I've done west yorkshire to inverness (340 miles i think) on 1 tank.

    I get 35ish mpg in my vts when I drive tidy (most of the time) and I have to drive through 25 sets of busy traffic lights to get to work!
    You've either got a lead foot or your car need a service and check over.

    bringing up an old thread here, but would changing the fuel filter improve mpg cause im only getting around 30mpg town driving.

    So, just let me make sure I'm understanding these reply's right: The car is being driven town miles only and the reply's are saying that 30mpg (round town) is poor?

    I drive 50/50 town and motorway, get 42-44mpg VTR 2000 silver top single plug.
    
    If I put the boot in it will drop to about 35, I would expect 37 ish around town.
    
    30mpg in VTR makes me think a poorly car or poor driver.

    I usually get around 38mpg in my vtr, thats pretty much all town driving including 16 mile round trip rush hour commutes to uni, which i think is pretty good.

    I get about 360-380 miles out of a tank in my VTR which i dont drive like a saint, which means im getting around 36-38 MPG.I check the tank for a leak to be honest.

    i got 90 miles out of £10 petrol last week which is approx 40mpg and that was 50/50 town/motorway miles....
