Lost 1st gear when car is hot.

    Can anyone help?
Last night, car was running for about an hour and I completely lost first gear.
This morning when I went to work, got it back again.
Bearing in mind, gearbox does feel rather sloppy at the mo, and fair bit of play in the gearlever whilst car is in gear.
Also when warm its harder to change down gear, ie:4th to 3rd etc.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    you checked gear linkages?

worn gear linkages are a common problem on saxos. Does it crunch into gear?

yeh crunches especially into reverse now. Got next to no clutch too, as it bites with about 1mm of movement.

What relevance does that have with this thread ?
Mate try posting your own thread, not in someone Else's, 60mm springs should be lower on the front yes.

had the car up in the air yesterday. Thought the gear linkages felt abit sloppy underneath whilst moving them about. Didn't have the time to have a proper investigation, but driving the car home that evening, the car seems to change gear alot better, just from that slight bit of movement of the linkages.
Clutch still has next to no movement for the biting point.

Adjust the clutch, if it's not disengaging fully it will be hard to get into gear.
