air filter help

    hey guys

im thinking of buying a K&N 57i air filter for my vtr, until i save some moneys for the BMC CDA (had to buy michael jackson tix for the missus this morning hah)

was just wondering if they any good, iirc they can suffer from 'heat soak' due to them being open beneath the bonnet?

if this is the case , how can i over come this, would i need a direct cold air feed to it?

    thanks

    lewis

get a cheap induction kit off ebay. Around 40pound with a high polished alloy pipe so the filter is closer to the front. My m8 got one and it looks and sounds great. Also you can put a bonnet raiser kit on the car which also allows more air to escape as well as look good
