Newer Aerial?

   So what ya think? They do the shark fin aerials on ebay, like the ones on the newer shaped BM's, anyone got one? any good? Thanks

   Don't know whether they're any good but I do know a few of them are just plastic and for looks so make sure you don't bid on one of those

   poor reception on these. just get an aerial off a 206 gti, they look far better

   ive liked the idea of one of those shark fins for a while but cant decide if it would look uber cool or tacky and sh*te, anyone seen a sax with one on or got pics?

   they only look good on cars where the ariel is at the back

   Get a 206 one, heres a 206 one on my car:
   
   Looks much better than standard and better than tacky halfords ones

   Cool that mate. Does all 206s have the same ariel or does it have to be off of a GTI?
   
   .. Also is it the whole ariel i need or just the top that screw in?

   you can cut the standard one in half quite easily. pop the end cap off, chop the aerial in half(i just used pliers) sand it down to get a smooth finish, heat the end cap up a little and push it back on. you may need to touch the end up with a black marker as it can loose some colour when sanding

   Got mine from a mates 1.4, i think they are all the same.
   All you need is the end bit, it screws straight into orrigional hole.

    There was someone on here who was making their own ariels and smoothing them off. Looked awsome, but hes stopped now.

    shark fins look stupid on saxos, just get a shorter standard one

    Well all i can say guys is DONT get a shark Fin, even though they say they fit a saxo they dont, far from it, the bottom of the fin is flat, which around the aerial isnt, so i wouldnt bother. Bad mistake i did, whata waste of money that was!!

    they look good but i think just the standerd ones cut down are better, iv done mine because it looked like a fishing rod comeing off my roof lol
