CAT to Cat Back System

   Ive just replaced my cat on the VTS and am after a quick answer!
   
   After speaking to Citroen, im a bit dubious about the flange bracket. Is it meant to have any sort of exhaust paste/gun gum in the bracket to create a seal? as Citroen have said it just bolts together and you dont need to seal it with anything, the flange bracket does what it is supposed to do.
   
   Is this correct? or do i need to paste it up a little just to seal any minor gaps?

   You only need to use the past when connecting the centre pipe to the backbox.
   You do not use past from downpipe to cat as there is a gasket between them that does the job

   you can put some paste on the back where the cat joins the centre section
   
   but the flange has the fire ring (a mesh ring) in there to seal it

   When I get my back box next week, I have to put some exhaust paste on when I swap it over then?

   A fire ring between the magnex cat back and the cat? mine didnt have one when i took the old cat off and citroen have told me they dont have them!!
   
   Im meaning where the cat joins the rest of the exhaust system to the back box end
