Saxo VTS Or VTR

  1. #1

hey guys, was wondering if anyone could help, im thinking of buying a saxo, i want a VTS but for the money i got 1500 - 2000, they all seem to have 80, 000 + on the clock most have 100, 000, would i be best of buying a vtr which i can get with about 60 + and tuning to VTS power or buying a vts, and what heart ache will i have in the future on having such a high milaged VTS?

P.s why do you get dickheads out there saying the Saxo is a turd? are these people just jealous they can't afford insurance on one and all probly drive 1.1 punto's with a back box on, then cry when a saxo pulls away at the lights. If you get me. or does the saxo have a seriously bad rep?

Im coming from a Magane coupe 2.0 16v F7R engine. so vts i will notice the power gain, as the vtr is like nearly 2 seconds slower,

    Thanks

imo, the get a vts. do all the "standard mods" then cam. then it will be quicker around a track then a lighlty mod'd civic type r.

altho where the saxo shines is its fun factor imo.

not buy a vtr and mod it, its the stupid imo.

Go with the VTS mate. for 2k you can find plenty out there with less than 80k on the clock. Many with much much less than that. Asking price for a standard 03 plate with 26k on the clock was 3250 that i saw recently.

The amount of money you will need to spend on the vtr to get it to vts power will soon outweigh the benefits.

and anyway, an 80k milage car isn't too shabby, if it has been well looked after you've got nothing to worry about and at that milage make sure it's had the cambelt changed.

oh and the 0-60 between the r and s i didnt find was much different. But the 0-100 time is sooooo much better
