Lol i just love the way people bullshit on the internet. -
#25so you want some photo's to prove it then?
I will get you some next time im doing some work, and maybe some of the corsa electric power assisted steering were currently fitting to the rwd escort aswell!
yeah so do i, to be fair i get called a bullshitter on the internet alot... dont find it offensive anymore! -
#26trevor id like to see some of the different projects just for something to look at tbh, all interesting to me.
-
#27these people are obviously n00bs mate don't worry about it, he took your reply waaay over the top! If he was a bit more specific maybe he would of got a sensible reply! VTEC saxo knows nothing either so dont listen to him!Quote:so you want some photo's to prove it then?

Oh and Ryan.. I think you need to start cracking down on the way some people are replying on here! making us look like a bunch of tards tbh.. -
#31yep theres a few, Zcars now do a kit so its RWD/mid engined using the honda powerplant.
Also someone on here was building one but not seen anything of it.
theres also a few 4x4 cossie 106s -
#32There was the RS Turbo powered rwd 106 as well.
tbh, sure that Trevor guy had said before that he is a little older than most on here, so why would he not have helped build that little lot. I, for one, would quite like to see pics of them all. Some of them sound very interesting, particularly the cosworth
-
#34a polished tb you say? Is it a worth while modification?
**Snigger** -
#38lol at this thread.
cant believe the way some people jump down other peoples throats.
the people who know what they are talking about can see right through the people who are "blagging" their wisdom.
trevorRS, sounds like you have worked on a large array of cars. get a thread up with some build pics -
#39I blagged 3 tshirts yday!!!Quote:lol at this thread.

#43i seriously doubt im older than most on here.. its just i have grown up around cars and bikes... and i didnt waste every penny i had shagging half the town or pissing money against the wall! never had lots of money so had to learn to fix things myself..Quote:There was the RS Turbo powered rwd 106 as well.

Yeah, i will do when i get the camera charged and get some good ones! finished mounting the corsa power steering in the escort tonight and its bloody brilliant! The car needs a proper tidy up and respray but that dosent make you go any faster.Quote:lol at this thread.

Took a couple with my phone while i was out but there rubbish quality! will get them uploaded in a minute.
edit: they are terrible! only a few you can make out but will upload them anaway! -
#44Ah sorry dude, thought I'd read somewhere that you were that little bit older than some on here (No offence). Must have got you confused with someone else.Quote:i seriously doubt im older than most on here.. its just i have grown up around cars and bikes... and i didnt waste every penny i had shagging half the town or pissing money against the wall! never had lots of money so had to learn to fix things myself..
Some of the best cars I have seen have have been built at home in peoples sheds. Got several round here that have never had a 'professional' touch them, including several bike engined mini's, a classic mini with a Type R lump, Vauxhall Redtop powered mini and a big power RS Turbo, all of which have been/are being built on mates drives or in lockups on tight budgets -
#45corsa powersteering mounted.. wiring needs reworked for heavier cable.

gearbox..emm well i can be arsed to explain it but it made a mess of its self so its out on the bench for rebuilding!

A couple of the cossie that i took a while ago actually and never realised i had!

the rest you cant actually see anaything in due to my crap phone/shakey hand! just thought id show some to prove im not talking through my arse
-
#46Wicked stuff dude.
Allways good to see lots of other cool projects etc..
I love old skool cossies -
#47dont worry.. no offence takenQuote:Ah sorry dude, thought I'd read somewhere that you were that little bit older than some on here (No offence). Must have got you confused with someone else.

i'd agree, there are some serious bits of kit that have never seen a "pro" touch them. -
#48nice work with the corsa steering column... was it easy enough to wire up? it looks a good space saving mod.
at work im currently helping finish off a corsa vxr powered westfield. it will go like a rocket once in production. -
#49Danny ive allways wondered what is your job title at westifeld?
-
#50yeah dead easy to wire in, you get a box with adjustable settings on it... to replace the fact its been removed from the corsa ecu which i believe control's its sensitivty with speed.
Can get one for about £25-30 from most rally shops and i believe there on ebay at the minute. guy who bought the rack got it out of an 07 (i think) for £70 the lucky bugger! -
#53haha quite possibly lol.
ill take a pic of the new vxr car if im allowed. its being built for a dealer for a BIG show so it might be confidential.
whats happened to spaxo? havnt you fixed it yet?
oh just to post something on topic.
there are different types of chargers that are belt driven. you hve rotrex/jackson/vortex etc. the most popular is rotrex as its new technology and is VERY efficient with more or less no disadvantages. -
#54Loving the cosworth. looks like a serious bit of kit
