alot of people either leave it or build a false floor that covers that gap and into the boot

Hi mate. I justed used mdf.

I glued it down but if i was to do it again i would definately bolt it down using a bracket or something. As looking back it wasn't very safe if i crashed. Heres a of mine to give you an idea.

I did it in two pieces, if i was to do it again i would definately use just 1 big piece.

if i do it pal il put one on.
my advice though is dont use anything to heavy for the floor or there was no point in taking the seats out. and bolt it or glue and pack it well to avoid rattles,

How i did it was use the boot floor carpet as a template. Just open your boot and your boot carpet will just pull out. There will be a couple of plastic screw things holding it but they'll just pop out with it.

I bought the pieces of MDF. Laid the carpet on the mdf and drew around it with a pencil. Then i used a jigsaw and cut the shape out.

If i was doing it again though like i said earlier i would use one big piece and a few brackets to hold it firmly.

For the seat area your probably best off measuring it with a tape measure then keep cutting it down. Trail and error. Until it fits snug.

Hope this helps mate, if you want anymore help just pm me again and i'll reply on here again

jus the normal carpet u can get from anywhere? dont have to be special stuff?

yeah but get a quite thick one soundproof the car a little bit if ya get me, but then again depends what you want, you could get a hard wearing carpet if its going to get some hammer with i.e alloys in the back, but if its for show go with the thick carpet, thats my advice to you,
