    how much would it cost to cam a vtr i mean the total cost labour parts and remap etc

    oh too bad then what if i took labour off and how much does it go up when telling the insurence? should you tell them as they wont know if its cammed or not will they?

    Yes you should like any modification tell them but its up to you. And yes if you tell them it would go up obviousley. And how much depends on what type of cam you get. If you get a mild one like a PH1 then you wont need a remap which is what most of the money in camming is spent on. So if you did all the work yourself with a PH1 ( which dont need a remap ) then you woud only have to pay for the cam kit.

    P.S - the gains wouldnt be very large.

    Maybe around £400+ without labour, including vernier - cambelt, headgasket etc. It's all on here though, search for cam vtr or something and I'm sure you'll get all the info in there

    So far I've spent:
    Newmans PH3= £150
    Vernier Pulley= £100
    Cam Belt= £35
    Gasket= £45
    Oil= £45
    Labour= £100
    Remap £345..

    So make sure you have some in the bank before attempting it
