just done mine mate no will still work the same just without the pins.
  3. #3
do you have remote central locking? if you don't the only way to lock the door will be with the key from the outside. If you do have rcl, they will lock and unlock with the fob like they used to
  4. #4
They will work exactly how they do with them in. As long as you do it correctly.
There is a knack to it. Just be careful not to break anything.
Feel down the rod that attaches to the pin and you've got to full the plastic clip at the bottom towards you so that it comes off the top of the lock mechanism

so if i take the rod out that holds the pin it will work the same? the car is a mk1 1.1i so it dont have central locking!

when you say "work the same" it will still lock, but obviously the only way of locking the doors from inside the car would be to do the window down and lock it with the keys!

Imo i wouldn't de-pin a saxo without central locking. Makes it really difficult as you would have to keep walking around the car to lock and unlock both doors.

Yes will still lock unlock on the key as it does now.

if ur car doesnt have central locking its gonna get bloody annoying when u cant jus lean over to lock the passenger door , u have to get out and manually lockboth doors when u park

    hmmm.... i might do this!
how do you plug the holes because theyre oval and i can only get circle gromits?
  16. #16
You would only need to close the passenger door when you had a passenger though not probably not every time.

i am planning on filling mine, instead of a grommet, with a dash repair kit, but waiting to find it cheaper than halfords 25 quid
  18. #18
I've always used the round grommets you get in halfords (assortment packs). They form the shape of the hole perfectly.

i did have a proper old pack from when I had one of my last sxos, but I'm sure they still do them there.

Another noob question but why do people de pin the doors? Styling? I normally lock my doors when in car as it locks boot aswell with my sub + amp in there lol
  23. #23
Because its quite easy to get into the top of the door bend it back hook the door pin up and its bye bye saxo.
