Green cotton forced air induction.. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!

After recently buying my second VTS i changed the crappy back box exhasut and pull a decat full s/steel system on it. Wasnt sure about the air intake/filter tho.. on my last VTS had a Green cotton forced air and i hadnt noticed any noise/power gains over the standard air box. So took the grill off to investigate and saw that the sub frame, radiator and fan actually block most of the intake scoop! So to it to my man and he's cut out part of the bottom of the sub frame, dropped the radiator about 4" and rewelded it, also fitted a new smaller custom fan and cut out part of the top of the sub frame leaving the intake scoop totally exposed! Hello extra horsepower!!

Could of just got some more ducting out of the grill instead of going through all that trouble...?

The stock system would probably peform better from what ive read in the past, although it wont sound quite as good

Im thinking about fitting a green panel filter and keeping the stock airbox, but the bay still looks cluttered.. hmm decisions decision =]
