Since they have no red reflector on them, are they road legal?
Toss up between using tinting spray on my standard ones or picking these up, what do you think (for a silver mk1 VTR).

Hmm, I'd really like some nice tinted ones but I'd much rather they were proper road legal jobs.
Is there a list of people who supply aftermarket road-legal lights anywhere I can check out, or anyone got any suggestions? |

You can get some where theyve been tinted but masked around the reflective bit, to make them road legal still, but look abit shit as you have ahuge reflective bit on a smoked light lol.

Strictly speaking any tinting or any colour is not allowed. Even a dirty brake light is illegal and will also fail a MOT. Its not just the reflector but all the vehicles lights as well. Even the slightest tint and a MOT testes is perfectly within there rights to fail your car. A police officer is within his rights to issue you with a vehicle defect notice, a fixed fine, confiscate your car or even have you issued with a court summons. Your insurance company is also within there rights to refuse any claim.
Be warned as there is so much incorrect or misleading advertising out there and even more misleading information on forums and the likes your best to get a copy of the laws and regulations for your self and have a good read. Jut be warned there is a lot of reading to be had. |
