Wossner 12:1 Forged Pistons + Std Electronic

   Hi!
   I'm new in the forum I've read some topics and this is a great forum for sure!
   
   
   I'm rebuilding my 106 Gti engine, and I Got a set of wossner Gr.A Forged Piston oversized 79mm and the Std Head Gasket .
   
   I was running with c2 16v (125hp) head gasket and a electronic but now i will run with Std Electronic until i get someone here that can make me a good electronic for this hardware.
   
   I've Std Camshaft,
   Air induction kit w/ Green filter,
   Complete exhaust system with no CAT
   and a FSE Valve boost (that will run in 3.5 Bar).
   
   Do you think i'me gettin any problem running with Std Electronic (injection) and this setup (wossner piston) for a while? I do not trust in my "old" chip that i used before...

   When i say std electronic i mean std ECU Map!

   How long are you thinking about running it for the OE map for?
   
   are you not thinking about an aftermarket ecu?

   Higher compression wants less advance, so be careful about detonation, pinking that sort of thing - perhaps run only 99octane fuel?
   
   What plug do you have on your engine wiring loom that connects to the ECU? Is it a big single plug with 3 rows of pins or 3 separate little plugs?

   When are you looking on fitting a suitable ECU?
   
   and if not, may i ask why ?
   What are you planning to achieve with the new pistons? uprated cams in the future etc ?

   Profile says its a 1997 Gti so i'd assume its a single plug.

   Hi! Thank you for fast reply!
   
   I will be running only with 98Octane Fuel (here we have 95 octane or 98 octane)
   
   My ECU is single Plug.
   
   I'm rebuilding the engine because i was loosing compression by the piston rings and started to make a lot of smoke!
   So...i got this pistons for a good price and they are a lot better then the Std correct?
   
   I want to get a newman ph4 camshaft or something like that in a few months and then make an ECU remap.
   I'm also thinking get an aftermarket ECU, instead of Remaping mine.
   
   But for now is it ok to run in Standard Map with this pistons! ?
