Performance mods

   I know theres loads of threads on this stuff but some contradict others so what's the best cheap performance mods that work I've already lowered 50 piper back box raceland enclosed filter what else can I do on a budget

   Depends how tight your buget is.
   
   under £100 << Decat and port and polish throttle bodie
   and maybe £250 could get you a good 4-2-1 manifold and the above.

   decat will be cheap and should free up a bit of power

   not to sure if i want to go down tghe decat route is it not illegal. how hard is it to port and polich throttle bodies is it something i can do or is it a garage job does it make lot of difference. think im going to get rid of some of the extra weight at the weekend

   its something you can have a go at yourself, the gains are only like maybe 1bhp if that, but your throttle response will be much sharper
   
   and no a decat isnt illegal, just need one to pass an mot.

   decats arent illegal,, but theres a very good chance your car would fail an mot with no cat(not 100% but 99%) which means its tchnically not roadworthy. however you'd only be made to go and get a retest within a certain amount of time

    some guy on here will port and polish your throttle body ... fink he charges about £26 ...

    think im going to do my throttle body i pm'd the guy who does them on here but didnt reply so im going to have a go myself just not to sure how to any one got any advice how to do it

    Can pick up a second hand manifold for under £90, find a cheap de-cat... sorted.
