mine was a real b***h to get off, ended up gettin the powertools out to slice it off. it was the plastic bit under the rubber that got me, seemed like it was glued very strongly to the metal shaft

according to MAX POWER manual:unclip the gear lever gaitor,the knob will need a mighty pull to remove it,but it will come off eventually,cut the gear knob off its rubber mounting using a hacksaw blade,job done.

if you get an adjustable spanner under it tighten it a bit get a hammer and smack it up thatll work

or punch yourself in the nose - thats been known to happen. lol

but you shouldn't need any tools to cut if off, should just need a bloody good tug
