Misfire at about 3k rpm - Especially when cold

   MK1 VTS.
   At the mo, all it has is a poor quality universal induction kit from argos and full exhaust system and decat.
   I think the misfire was there with the old exhaust on it, but now with this one and the decat it seems to have enhanced it.
   its when I start the car from cold, up to about 3k then change your, the car starts juddering slightly.
   I'm more thinking igntion as opposed to fueling?

   My coil pack caused huge problems when cold, but once it had warmed up it would run perfect.

   ye sounds like the coilpack..any bit of moisture at all on them and they miss..mine did it for ages..i have a spare 1 here,could bring it up to u and try it out..your only bout 20 min from me

   I think it is the coilpack you know. its only doing it literally at about 3k and bit rpm.

   might get a chance to look at this today. What shall I be looking for how do I take out plugs and coil pack on the VTS's? Is there any way I can clean up these parts maybe Like the old contact points on other cars?

    Right, I'm pretty certain its my coipack now. Car is getting worse.
    Can anyone confirm, are the VTS coilpacks all the same, or are there different ones for newer engines? As some people say they have them from laters VTS engines?
    Need to sort this asap.
