    Hi Guys

Right, my GTI/VTS engine is all in and plugged in etc, but im left with 2 problems. On the loom i have which came with the lump it doesnt have any cables for the fuel cut-off switch.. And down by the n/s headlight, there's 2 circular plugs where the engine loom plug's into the rest of the car's loom. There the 2 plugs which go through a bracket, one of these has many different coloured wire's going into it, which mates up with the other one on the car just fine, so i have one plug left but the car doesnt have another one to mate up with it? (Hope that makes sense) I went to a scrap yard and fetched this plug from a 106, it turns out that this plug runs all the way into the car and into the back of the speedo.. Now all i need to know is what this is for, and can i by-pass it seeing as my car doesnt have this plug??

    Any help much appreciated.

If im reading it correct sounds like you are using the 106 gti engine loom which i was under the impression would not work! After researching it i got told on here that i would need to buy a vts engine loom and use that on the gti engine which would mean the loom would plug straight into the saxo interior loom fine!

mate you need to sell that loom im afraid. the gti looms will not fit a saxo without a hell of alot of modification.

buy yourself the correct vts loom for the engine

the inertia switch connection is on the car loom on 106s. You could still wire it in no problem though, you just have to ask yourself if its worth the arseache.

    Thanks guys..

I've decided to take tom's advice and get a new VTS loom... its proper ball-ache otherwise..
Anyways, apart from the loom... my conversion is complete. Cant wait to get it out on the road and running again. Fed up with Taxi's now.
