Horn

   The Saxo horn sounds a bit gay doesnt it. Is there anyway of changing it? If possible, I want to get something a bit louder and meatier, probably off a large 4x4.
   
   Got the idea after watching Top Gear episode where James and Jeremy went to London in their old Mercedes and Rolls Royce.
   
   Yay or nay?

   yes you can mate, it would be pretty easy to do as long as you get another 12v horn (a wagon horn is 24v so wouldnt work unless you had a converter which would be a ball ache to do).
   
   as 99% of horns have two terminals (+ve and -ve) then you just need find a horn you like the sound of and swap them over. you might need to use a different mounting for your new horn depending what car you get it from.
   
   you could do a guide whilst your at it for changing a horn

   Cheers, Ill look into it over the next few weeks. Ill probably do it around end of April/start of May. Ill try and get a guide up if I do it.
   
   Id appreciate some suggestions, possibly include some sound clips if possible.
   
   We have a 1999 Daihatsu Fourtrak but the one that sounds proper rubbish.

    you can buy air horn ones from motor mania and places like that for 25quid bargin and are ace.

    Try get a train horn under the bonnet, it would be epic!
    My mums bf has one on his lorry, and you can hear it half a mile away, so from a saxo at traffic lights would be truely epic.

    Yeah would be different. Ill have to find a pikey though, then if it goes wrong when stealing it, Id still be alive.
