around £250 to £300 for a good job they weld a plate in. best thing is to ask around a couple of local garages and see if they do it or recomend anyone

Have a look on ebay for a fiberglass smooth pannel..

Or you can weld a metal plate in then smooth it over.. With filler

this may be a stupid question but i aint gota clue lol. how does a fibre glass panel work then? does it go staright over the bodywork or does the bodywork have to be cut out and that placed in? thanks :-)

dont use the fibreglass pannels. they are shit.

you bond them on top of the existing bodywork then blend them in. the filler will crack.

you need to weld a plate in then filler over the top.

i could do it for you but it would be in birmingham

i'm doing my own at college and it only costs £50 for paint

ye the fibreglass panel just sticks over the boot, but often sags, cracks over time. will be cheaper in the long run if a plate is welded in because your using less filler, so less chance of any cracking

I doubt you would be using less filler with a welded in panel, the filler isnt the problem. It the fact its a GRP panel bonded to a metal panel, but welding in some sheet metal its stronger which gives less chance of the filler cracking.
Fibreglass panel= cheaper to get done(wont las as long)
Metal panel=more expensive to get done(will last alot longer if done right)
