#10my vtr on standard wheels is down 60 front and slammed on the arse !Quote:you will be replacing driveshafs all the time mate have a lil think
60mm all around looks sweet imo
it is a nightmare sometimes ive had it 8 months had 2 driveshafts ball joints new dampers etc bumps on the exhaust cv gaitor gone on pot holes im deffinitely going 50mm kit on new vts !!
95mm will be a pain in the arse mate but each to thier own

#11Just to give you an idea mate heres one which we did the lowering on a few days ago.
He only had 30mm springs for the front, but the rear is down 75mm

If you want to see one really low on the rear have a look at LEE_VTR1's progress thread in the photos section as you wont find many that low -
#12chap in plymouth, will do it for 30 quid... not bad either, 35 if its seized... but he doesnt seem to think its a problem, mine was a wanker and he didnt find it too bad apprntly :s . . .
anyway im looking at going 110-130 if its possible, basically going as low as i can on the back. *currently 50mm*
unfortunatly, after having a long term relationship with a lass whos beleifs were "beauty before pain" i now think, what the heck, its going to look mental. -
#13I would be inclined to question which method was used for £30 to be honest. The proper way is a damn sight harder and more time consuming than the 'splines or notches' method which i would suspect he does for a cheap buck at that price

#14Where can I find this person? Does he do it the proper way? Might think of going a bit more lower.Quote:chap in plymouth, will do it for 30 quid... not bad either, 35 if its seized... but he doesnt seem to think its a problem, mine was a wanker and he didnt find it too bad apprntly :s . . .

#15for £30 that will be a big sledge hammer, wack the bit out of the tortion bar, put into position, wack back into place, same other side, put back together
, tortion bar is piece of p*** if ya ask me tbh, i lowered my saxo 100mm and i still went 40 over speed bumps wit no probs
, apart from the car nearly lifting off
, i can do tortion bar for a price if ya want
-
#16i'll do it the proper way for £40.
-
#17he does it, by taking the t-bar out, raising the arm to desired height and putting the bar back in place... no turning or twisting notches.
